All 100% handwoven cotton
Sustainability of a garment doesn’t end with the purchase, one of the best ways to minimize the impact that clothing has on the world is taking care of your garment. 25% of our carbon footprint from clothes comes from the way we look after our threads!
Machine wash separately, on a gentle wash. (FYI 30’s the new 40, it protects your fibres and saves electricity!)
Do not mix with other colours
Turn prints and surfaces inside out
Reshape after washing- Let your garments hang out in the shade.
Dodge the tumble dryer- it’s heavy on the environment and shortens the longevity of your garm.
Iron whilst still damp for ease.
Be careful with dry and wet bleed at the beginning of wearing you garment with light coloured surfaces. Part of your garments charm is it will obtain a patina over time.
We recommend washing your denims as rarely as possible to extend their life, wash with similar colours and inside out on a low heat to prolong the depth of the colour. Do not tumble dry and reshape whilst naturally drying.
Garments can be soaked prior to wear to remove excess denim and the scent of the dye.
Do not tumble dry, iron on a medium heat.
Dark indigo items are heavily dyed to allow for a high contrast faded look once worn- therefore in some cases the indigo may initially transfer on to other surfaces- we advise washing separately and with no white or light items for the first 10 washes. Please expect some fading of the indigo and note for our ombre products some colour may blend a little. ( FOR BEST RESULTS WE ADVISE HANDWASHING THESE PRODUCTS)
Garments can be soaked prior to wear as you would raw denim to remove excess indigo and the scent of the dye too.
Be conscious that the warmer the water on the wash, the more indigo you will loose.
Block print products-
We think of our block print items as wearable art – to sustain the print, wash and iron on reverse.
Women’s co- operative products.
Hand spun AZO free fabric- To guarantee the sustainability of these products wash with moderate heat and iron whilst damp.
